What we ask of every resident.
Structure is the treatment. These are the requirements and rules that keep Essence Intensive safe, honest and worth living in.
Recovery living requirements

Curfew
Curfew for residents who have shown to be more trusted and are off the buddy system.

12 step meetings
For residents required to attend: 7 meetings per week if not employed, and 5 per week once employment is obtained.
We also house some high acuity mental health residents. Expectations for them outside of the 12 steps are different, and they must remain medication compliant to avoid episodes.
House rules

- Report any rule violations directly to staff — working an honest program keeps the house safe
- Do not disturb other residents

- Quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Overnight passes must be approved in advance
- Meeting verification cards are due at house meetings
- Residents must have a sponsor while actively working the 12 steps
- Residents' rooms must be clean at all times
- Keep all shared spaces clean at all times
- No loitering in front of the property
- Unusual job schedules must be approved by management
- Be accountable and check in with the house manager
Medication policy
- Any resident on prescribed medications must immediately notify the house manager
- All medications must be approved
- All medications must be taken exactly as prescribed
Zero tolerance
- Positive drug tests
- Stealing
- Destroying property that does not belong to you
- Sexual activity between residents
- Physical or verbal confrontation with staff or residents
